Dragon Ball Z Taiketsu (Gameboy Advance)
I’m going to break form a little bit in here. I’m not going to waste any more words building things up only to tell you this one simple truth: Dragonball Z Taiketsu for the Gameboy Advance is a really crappy game with no redeeming value whatsoever. Even if you’re a very big fan of the franchise and only have a Gameboy Advance to your name, there are better Dragon Ball games for your device and your money is much better spent buying those.
So What Makes Dragonball Z Taiketsu So Bad?
How about everything? The graphics are faux 3D, which is a shame because 3D isn’t exactly the Gameboy Advance’s strong suit, and other Dragonball games on the handheld like Advanced Adventure and Super Sonic Warriors have already proven how good 2D looks on the GBA.
Gameplay has the ability to salvage poor graphics but Taiketsu fails even in that aspect. There’s not a lot of variety to the moves – there’s no transformations (which should be a requirement for every Dragon Ball Z game) and the controls are so floaty and laggy that it basically stops being an enjoyable fighting game and turns into a chore.
Buy or Not?
As mentioned above: avoid at all costs. It’s simply so bad that I can’t in good conscience provide a link to where you can buy the stuff online. It’s available somewhere out there, but I believe buying it is wrong and I will not be complicit in the affair.
